Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says he walks past the treatment room with a balaclava on back to front because he doesn’t want to see who is in there.

Speaking to MillersPlayer today the Millers Boss said, ‘It`s frightening. There`s a third of our team in there.

‘We`ve got fractures, dislocated shoulders, cracked collarbones, groins, thighs and twisted ankles. It`s hard to take but as a manager what do you do? You can either crumble or get in the trenches and come out and fight – and we come out with grenades fighting.

‘David Noble trained on Thursday and went over on his ankle again so that`s set him back another couple of weeks and Kieran Agard is still feeling his thigh and has a small lump there that we will get assessed which will probably push him more towards the weekend than Tuesday night.`

The latest player to limp off was Craig Morgan on Saturday who will be out for up to six weeks with a broken bone but Steve said that there was a contingency plan. ‘We`ve been working on something yesterday and today,` he said. ‘and hopefully there will be someone in for Tuesday`s game. Well, it` either that or I play myself!`

One of the options is getting Johnny Mullins back from Oxford where he`s been on loan for the last few weeks. But, reading between the lines it sounds like the boss could be fetching yet another loan player in.

There must be times when Steve Evans just wants to put his coat on and go home! I can`t remember us ever having a squad with so many injuries – even those that look like little niggles are turning out to be much more than that.

I agree, it is frightening but, like the boss says, let`s just go out there and fight.
