Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans has told the Yorkshire Post that he expects to learn what punishment the Football League intends to dish out over the Millers playing an ineligible player against Brighton and Hove Albion before the weekend.

‘It’s not my job to say when it will or won’t be but I think it will be very soon,’ the Millers Boss told Leon Wobschall adding that he expects it to be before the Norwich game.’

The fault is obviously an admin problem but, with the Gaffer saying, ‘No-one means to make an error and I don`t want to cast judgement on people who make genuine mistakes but I have had enough of them.’

Meanwhile, Millwall Manager Neil Harris is also hoping for an early verdict. Being just a one place and four points behind Rotherham, Harris told News Shopper, ‘We are at the stage now where I think Millwall, Wigan and Rotherham will be really keen to know what’s happening with all three teams dealing with the scenario as and when it happens.’
