Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says he expects to see loanee goalkeeper Emi Martinez on Match Of The Day in the next few months.

Emi has already played in the Champions League for his parent club Arsenal and made his Premier League debut when coming off the bench for injured ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny against Manchester United.

Speaking to Paul Davis of The Star the Millers Boss said, ‘I think he`s been great for us. We`re going to be watching Emi on Match of the Day in six to eight months time and then for a number of years as Arsenal`s number one.

‘He`s very well regarded and has had a couple of clubs in the top division in Spain wanting to take him on season long loans.`

Emi has played five times for the Millers since joining on an emergency loan last month, keeping one clean sheet and conceding eight goal while keeping number one ‘keeper Adam Collin on the bench.

‘Adam will be hurting,` the Gaffer admitted, ‘but he`s lost his shirt before but has always come back. And Emi has to keep his performances right or Adam will be back.`
