Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans is delighted to have added striker Danny Hylton to his squad of players.

Speaking to MillersPlayer the Millers Boss said he`d had his eye on Danny for some time, trying to sign him when he was at the helm at Crawley Town.

‘We`d had a bid accepted when I was at Crawley but, despite all my efforts then, he wouldn’t leave Aldershot so, from the Millers point of view, this is fantastic business.

‘There were times when I thought other clubs in League One would snap him up and so I`m delighted that, at long last, he becomes a Miller.

‘He`s one of those lads who can play as a striker, play as a second striker, play wide right or play wide left. He`s a real hard working talented boy. He`s exciting, he`s hungry, he`s young, he`s got desire and I`ll put my reputation on him and say he`s going to be an exciting player for the Millers and Steve Evans doesn’t do that very often. There are some disappointed Managers at well established League One clubs who were keen to land this boy.`

The Gaffer said that signing Danny Hylton was probably the start of getting attacking options in, saying there would be more to come.
