Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that Referee Roger East used ‘foul and abusive language` to one of his players during the five-nil defeat at Dagenham on Saturday.

Saying that this no way deflects from the awful performance by his team the Millers Boss told Les Payne of The Star, ‘If I`d used the words I was told he used, then I`d be up in front of the FA. It`s not right.`

Evans said he wouldn’t name the player involved but has asked the referee to include the complaint in his match report and said, ‘I was unhappy about the comment and the player involved hasn’t had a bad word to say about anybody while I’ve been here so to say we were surprised is an understatement.`
