Rotherham United midfielder Ben Pringle has signed an extension to his contract with Millers Boss Steve Evans saying that it’s ‘great business’ for the club.

Speaking to the Official Site Evans said, ‘I am delighted that Ben has committed his future to Rotherham United.

‘Ben is one of the key players in our squad and the situation came to a head when we received two good offers for him in the last week. Appreciating the fact that we could have lost him for nothing in May, Chairman Tony Stewart has stayed true to his word and turned down both offers.

‘When I arrived at the club Ben wasn`t a regular in the side but I could see he was a talented individual with plenty to offer, and he quickly became one of the first names on my team sheet. He is still young and has plenty to learn but I believe he has the ability and desire to become a Championship player – and I want that to be with Rotherham United.’
