Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman has asked the fans to be patient.

He has told The Advertiser that he is sure Mark Robins and John Breckin can bring the good times back to Millmoor.

He particularly mentioned the booing that came from the fans on Saturday against Notts County and says, ‘I know people get frustrated – so do I – but booing feeds through to the players, especially the younger lads and I would ask people to remember how far we have come in the last few months.

‘I admit, the football wasn’t great last Saturday, but it is the first time I have heard booing at half time and full time.

‘We have a new team, which we have created on a tight budget, and, with all the will in the world, it isn’t going to come right straight away.

‘I want us to get promoted, but I’m not sure it’s going to be this season. But, having worked with Mark Robins and John Breckin, I am sure we will be in a much better position this time next season. And how long is it since we were able to say that?

‘If the supporters had been told at the start of the season that we would only be four points of the top place after seven games, they would have accepted it.

‘So, come on, let’s stop being so negative. We have stopped the rot and the club can only go in one direction now. And that is UP.’
