Rotherham United striker Matt Derbyshire has been getting the time on the pitch he wanted since Neil Warnock came in as Millers Manager.

He`s scored eight goals this season, four of those coming under the latest man in charge, and it could be in the last three games of the season he passes the ten he got last season.

‘I was a bit unfortunate not to play under the previous manager,` the former England U21 player told The Advertiser.

‘Managers have opinions on different players and he didn`t like me as a player but the new Manager has come in and fancies me a bit which is decent.

‘On the left isn`t my position but I`m enjoying it and I`ll play wherever the Gaffer wants me. It`s nice to have gone unbeaten in all these games and to be out there on the pitch – but it`s about the team not just about myself.

‘If we could go unbeaten until the end of the season that would be fantastic.`

Asked about his future with Rotherham United the thirty year old said, ‘I haven`t thought about it at all.

‘I`m sure once we`re safe then things will be talked about. If they`re not, they`re not. Whatever the club want to do I will listen to them.`
