Rotherham United defender Joe Mattock is hoping that things are wrapped up tomorrow when the Millers visit Wolves so the last two games can be played without the fear of relegation.

‘Everyone wanted to get the win and be safe on Tuesday night,` the twenty-five year old told The Advertiser. ‘But that`s not the way it works so we just have to carry on doing what we`re doing.

‘There`s no doubt we won`t be going to Wolves for a draw. We want to be safe and get a bit of relaxation and chill out through the week.

Admitting that he felt tired after Tuesday nights draw with Huddersfield, the left-back said, ‘Usually on Tuesday nights we seem to be on top of teams, really on the front foot. It wasn`t like that this week. The lads` effort was one hundred per cent but maybe some of us were a little tired.

‘When we went in after the game it felt like we`d lost but the Gaffer said, ‘Keep your heads up`. We got a point and kept the unbeaten run going so we`ll take that.`

I think Joe Mattock has been one of our more consistent players of the season – just getting on with his job on the pitch from the start of the season until the end.
