Rotherham United skipper, Ryan Cresswell played a big part in the Millers game on Saturday, which was his first start after a nightmare six months on the sidelines injured.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star Cress says that the team need a good end to the season to set them up for life in their new home back in Rotherham next season.

‘We haven`t given up on the play-offs,` the twenty-four year old said, ‘you don`t do that until it`s not mathematically possible. But we do know that it`s difficult and all but gone.

‘We need to have a good finish and get momentum to take us forward to the new ground.`

I can`t agree more. The fans need something to take into the New York Stadium that we see rising before us whenever we venture into town. Barring a miracle I really can`t see us making the play-offs now but fighting for pride and passion from the lads would make a big difference to the fans.
