Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that latest signing Claude Davis is settling in well with the Millers.

Speaking before the team were due to train on the New York pitch today, the Millers Boss said, ‘Claude has settle in very well. We will have a good look at him over the next couple of days to see whether he starts off the bench on Saturday or not.’

Defender Claude arrived at the NYS a couple of days after skipper Ian Sharps left to go to Burton Albion and winger Lionel Ainsworth went out to Aldershot to get some match practice.

Once again saying that Lionel has a future at the club, Evans told MillersPlayer that he watched him play for the Shots on Tuesday night. ‘He came on with about half-an-hour to go and he made a couple of good chances and I think he is in contention to play for them on Saturday. He’s been desperate to play first team football and he’s gone there to get games. It doesn’t matter how many reserve games you play it doesn’t have the same impact as playing in front of a crowd with the atmosphere and the adrenalin and he’ll get that now for at least four week.’

Evans also said there might be one or two more players going out on loan. ‘If one goes out that will probably settle us but if two go out then there might be someone coming in to join us.’

So who do we think might be the ones going out? David Noble and Dale Tonge who are both coming back from fitness? We’ve heard rumours that Kayode Odejayi might be on his way – though I do stress they are just rumours.

And what type of player do we want to come in? Possibly a proven strker?
