The Rotherham United Suite is to host a Charity Concert to help poorly five years old Elysha Robertson and also heritage projects around South Yorkshire.

Elysha and her family live in Whiston and the little girl has an illness so rare that there isn’t a name for it. In September a charity football game was played at Millmoor with proceeds going to Elysha where there was a wonderful turnout.

International Rod Stewart tribute artist, Gerry Trew will be performing at The Suite on Friday, November 16th.

Giles Brearley, a board member of RUFC, told The Advertiser, ‘We are delighted to get the services of Gerry who is said to be the best Rod Stewart tribute act on the circuit. As well as the concert there will be a hot gourmet buffet. And the fundraising will include an auction of some quality sporting and other unique items.’

Ken Wyatt, Heritage Organiser, said, ‘The concert has been organised to raise funds for local heritage projects, but over the years we have supported other good causes and this year we are sharing proceeds to help Elysha.’

Also involved with the backing are board members of Sheffield United and Mr Brearley, who is an Heritage enthusiast, said, ‘We are grateful that both the boards of Blades and Millers and other local businessess are supporting us.’

Tickets are priced at £20 and are available from:
