Friday and Saturday had some pairings that were going to affect the Millers so we really could have done with getting something out of our away trip to Teeside.

Championship Results
Brighton 0-2 Bournemouth
Fulham 2-2 Wigan

Derby 1-1 Brentford
Birmingham 2-1 Wolves
Bolton 1-2 Norwich
Ipswich 3-2 Blackpool
Leeds 1-2 Cardiff
Middlesbrough 2-0 Rotherham
Millwall 0-2 Watford
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Huddersfield
Reading 0-0 Blackburn
Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Charlton

With Brighton losing and Fulham and Wigan drawing on Friday evening the Millers knew where they stood going into Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough who could well be heading for the Premier League next season.

Rotherham went into Saturday’s game seven points above Wigan who were in the last relegation place and knowing that a win would take them above Fulham and Brighton, both two points better off than the Millers. Unfortunately two second half goals for Middlesbrough saw the Millers come away from the Riverside with nothing. Millwall and Blackpool also lost which means it’s as you were going into the mid-week games.
