Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart can`t be anything but proud of his club this evening after they secured Championship status for another year.

‘It feels fantastic,` Mr Stewart told Radio Sheffield after he watched the team beat Reading tonight. ‘It`s so magnificent words don`t describe it.

‘Steve (Evans) and I have worked very hard to get where we are. He is a good manager, he came to us a good manager and he proves it on the pitch. At times like this when you know you have to get a result he`s performed again. He can get people spirited and get them motivated and, to me, that`s the all round manager that Rotherham wanted. He`s been doing it for three years and I know he`ll continue doing it.

‘We`ve earned this. We`ve not got anything except by hard work and effort. The Championship is a strong league, a good league, it`s where we belong. I said when we got into the Championship I`d dream again and I’ve just started dreaming and we`ll reach for that dream.

‘We`ve got another season in the Championship and with Steve Evans and his bandwagon we are moving forward.`

Tony`s son and Vice Chairman Richard Stewart was obviously delighted with today`s result and what it means and when told of his father`s dream, as future Chairman of Rotherham United, he said, ‘Oh, no pressure there then!

‘But why not dream? Burnley, Barnsley, Wigan, Blackpool who are similar sized clubs have done it so why not dream. Obviously it will be difficult but we will do our best next season.`
