Rotherham United Chairman, Tony Stewart says that Adam Le Fondre is not for sale.

Repeating what his Manager, Ronnie Moore has been saying for months now, Mr Stewart said, ‘Adam has two years left on his contract. He`s not for sale.`

Alfie was brought in just after the start of last season by former Manager, Mark Robins, from Rochdale and he soon became a favourite amongst the Millers fans as well as top scorer.

Mr Stewart carried on, ‘We want Alfie to be able to say that he was part of the Rotherham United side that got into League One. I want him to see a future in the team that is climbing the ladder and to be part of that success.`

Moore says that what Alfie has is a gift. ‘He comes alive in the box,` his Manager said, ‘and that can`t be coached. You are born with that gift.

‘People are saying that he had a poor game at Wembley but they forget that without his goals we wouldn`t have got to Wembley.`

Moore is also demanding that other players put the pressure on Le Fondre and start to score goals and singling out Nicky Law and Kevin Ellison this week he said, ‘Nicky Law is in the side for his skill and pace but he needs to get more goals. Ellison got eleven last season and we want more from him too.`

Moore also said he will be disappointed if skipper, Ryan Cresswell, doesn`t get seven or eight goals from open play, saying, ‘Ryan is a winner and he`s a Rotherham lad as well as a proper centre-half. When he heads the ball, he means it.`
