Rotherham United goalkeeper, Steven Cann, became a hero last night as he saved two penalties in a shoot-out against Darlington to take the Millers through to the Area Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Speaking to RotherFM, the twenty-year old said, ‘I picked my spot and it’s important once you’ve made that decision to stick to it. I did and I picked the right one. It was a big game for us and we had to stay focused and I think I made some good saves. The next games against Scunthorpe should be good and let’s hope we can get to Wembley. But, for now, it’s important we concentrate on the game on Saturday.

‘I will always work hard and give one hundred per cent and it would be nice to keep my spot on Saturday. I’m still young and I’m still learning and these games are important for me to play in to help further my career.’
