Rotherham United signed ex MK Dons striker, Drew Broughton on a months loan at the end of last week and the six foot three inch striker says he is happy to be here.

Drew, who had a trial with the Millers in the summer, told the BBC, ‘I am happy to be back here as they are a good footballing side. Like MK Dons last season, Rotherham have a good dressing room with no massive ego’s. I’ve been impressed with Ryan Taylor.

‘I had some time with Luton and Gillingham this summer but it’s been tough. It’s been the first time since I was sixteen that I’ve not kicked off a season. I’ve had to work with a friend for the last few weeks to help pay the bills but it’s helped me to appreciate every day. It’s good to be back in full time training again and to play some reserve games and be back on show.

‘I’ve signed a contract until the 15th September and we will see what happens from there. I’m trying to get back into professional football – I’ve had numerous offers from Conference sides and from abroad but it’s great to be back in the game.’

Drew says he is a target man who works hard and is big on fitness. He says he likes to head the line and enjoys getting his fair share of goals.
