Rotherham United striker, Drewe Broughton, said it was a ‘bitter blow’ when Aldershot got a penalty in the dying minutes on Saturday in the FA Cup First Round.

Speaking to RotherFM, the thirty-year old said, ‘We were under the kosh in the first half and rode our luck a bit. I don’t think any one of us were playing to the level we set ourselves. The gaffer gave us a rollicking at half-time, and rightly so, and we were better in the second half and controlled big parts of the game. It was a nice goal from a set piece and finished well by Mickey (Cummins). They had so many chances that sooner or later they were going to take one but it was a bitter blow when they got the penalty. Andy Warrington got near to it too and he kept us in it in the first half.

‘But the main thing is that we are still in it.’
