Rotherham United’s manager, Mark Robins, might be on a course at the moment but his assistant, John Breckin has been busy in his absence.

This week, Micky Cummins and Mark Lynch have arrived from Darlington and Yeovil respectively and Breckin is said to be delighted to have secured them.

Twenty-six year old Lynch began his career with Manchester United and moved to Yeovil two years ago. Breckin told The Advertiser, ‘He has a good pedigree and recently helped Yeovil to the play offs. He’s a good experienced acquisition and comes highly recommended by ex Miller Paul Warne. He will bring competition on both sides of defence and he prides himself on his fitness.’

Twenty-nine year old Micky Cummins, began his career at Middlesborough before moving to Port Vale then Darlington. Breckin said, ‘Cummins is a player I’ve admired for some time. He’s strong in the air and can score goals. He’s played right across midfield and if that’s where we decide to play him we will have a very strong unit with him, Mark Hudson and Danny Harrison.’
