Rotherham United striker Wes Thomas has been offered a new contract by the Millers, after signing originally in January until the end of the year, but it seems we may have a fight on our hands to keep him with Birmingham City throwing their hat in the ring this week.

As far as we are aware Wes, who had a four month loan spell with Birmingham last year, has yet to commit himself to the Millers and it could be that he`s biding his time to see what else is out there for him.

The twenty-seven year old joined the Millers from Bournemouth scored six goals in sixteen appearances and played at Wembley where he helped the Millers to promotion in the League One Play-Off Final.

But, according to the Football League World Birmingham are a bit low on the ground regarding strikers at the moment with the likes of Peter Lovenkrands, Akwasi Asante and Reece Hales being released so could put in a bid for Wes sooner rather than later.
