Rotherham United yesterday unveiled their 6th signing of the close season with Mat Sadler, 29, from Crawley.

Solihull born Mat started his career at Birmingham City where he gained international caps at under 17-19 level. In the premier league Mat played 51 appearances over 6 seasons.

In January 2008 Mat joined Watford for a fee of £750,000 on a 3 year deal. Thimgs didn`t work out for him with the hornets and he went out on loan to Stockport and Shrewsbury. After being released by Watford in 2011 he joined Walsall. In 2012 he moved to newly promotedCrawley Town, wher he went on to make 69 appearances.

A left sided defender, Mat has never been a prolific scorer, having a career total of 3 goals! The last one was last August?..against us!
