Rotherham United’s new owners may not now be announced until next week, according to The Star today.

Rumours had it that the announcement was immanent as the Administrator, Jeremy Bleazard was ready to finalise his preferred bidder. But, today, it seems that Mr Bleazard wishes to take his time over this important decision for the club and it could be a week today before the fans know who the new owners are.

Among the candidates to take over are the consortium headed by Dino Maccio and Alan Cartledge who say they are confident that the Millers could stay at Millmoor for the foreseeable future.

Also thought to have put in a bid is former Chairman, Denis Coleman, who, only a few months ago, announced in The Advertiser that, due to the time and money he’d spent running the clubs affairs he was ‘skint.’

There are other rumours of people putting in bids, including local businessman Ron Hull, ASD Lighting, Yorkshire Windows etc etc. These are only rumours and no one has actually come out and said these people have put in a bid.

So, once again, us Millers fans will just have to play the waiting game.
