Rotherham United goalkeeper Andy Warrington says that the team has let the fans down particularly the two hundred or so who turned up early Saturday morning to clear away the snow.

Speaking to The Advertiser Andy said, ‘On Saturday morning there were four inches of snow on the pitch. A lot of fans turned up to ensure the game was on and people behind the scenes did their bit too. They did a fantastic job.

‘But there was nobody more disappointed than me knowing we let them down. We do feel it, you wouldn’t be a right human being if you didn’t. I go away and analyse the game and my performance and I do that every game whether it is good, bad or indifferent.

‘We never got going. It was a massive opportunity that we passed up on because, with a win, we could have gone third.

‘Yes we can go again this weekend but we have to address a lot of issues first.`

To be honest it was only one-nil at half-time but we had hardly put two crosses together and were playing like a side who had only just met. In fact, we were asking the ‘two hundred` to put the snow back on the pitch.
