Rotherham United’s Andy Liddell says that although he is on the road to recovery there is still a long way to go.

The former Wigan, Oldham and Sheffield United midfielder told the Official Site that he is improving but there is no date set for his return.

The thirty-six year old, who signed for the Millers at the start of the season, has been out since October with an achilles injury and said, ‘I’ve been walking around and it feels OK but I’ve been taking things steady and not done any running yet, but I am back full-time and looking forward to getting back on track.

‘I want to get back training and get out there and help the team. The problem is you can’t rush this sort of thing because when you get to my age, things don’t heal so quickly.’

(Tell me about it, Andy!)
