Rotherham United’s top scorer, Adam Le Fondre says that the game at Wembley on Sunday is ‘massive’

Speaking to The Advertiser, the twenty-three year old said the game is probably the biggest of his career because promotion is on the cards.

Unfortunately, Alfie has had a taste of losing at Wembley, when he was in the Rochdale squad that were beaten two years ago by Stockport saying that there was a ‘horrible after-taste’. ‘You’re inconsolable and you don’t know what to say or think.

‘So, I want to have a promotion under my belt and make up for that.

‘Everyone says that if you could get up going via the play-offs then everyone would but, obviously, there is always going to be a loser.

‘At Wembley the game does flash by a bit because you’re in awe of the stadium but I think, on the day, we’ll be fine.

‘We’re champing at the bit to get there and we can’t wait!’
