Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre said that his performance on Saturday, in which he scored four goals in a six-four win over Cheltenham Town is probably his best to date.
Speaking to MillersPlayer after the ten goal thriller, Alfie said, ‘I saw a lot of the ball today and I did well in front of goal and we`ve got a good result, although I got lucky with my penalty today.
‘It`s my first hat-trick for Rotherham, although I should have scored one last season against Lincoln at Don Valley.
‘I thought we were a bit sloppy at the back today where we are usually normally resolute but it was one of those games that was a freak result.`
Alfie also thinks the Millers can play at a higher level saying, ‘We got to the play-off finals last season but I was bitterly disappointed in my performance in that game.` And he finished the interview by saying, ‘I got four goals today which makes five already this season and I`m dead happy at Rotherham United.`
