Rotherham United striker, Adam Le Fondre has been linked with quite a few clubs over the last few months and, Chairman, Tony Stewart has always said if the right offer came it would be hard to turn it down.

But, one offer that might not be coming is from Scunthorpe United, even though the Iron have been linked with the twenty-four year old all summer.

Iron Manager, and former Miller, Alan Knill, told the Scunthorpe Telegraph that, at present, it was all just rumours.

‘I never said we were interested in Adam Le Fondre,’Knill said, ‘although I did say he was a good player. His record speaks for itself but I don’t know what Rotherham want for Adam Le Fondre. We are probably no different to anyone else in the sense that if someone scores as many goals as him then you should be interested and you can read in that what you like.’

Knill, however did say that he is confident that he would have enough finances to secure any of his targets, ‘If we are all agreed there is a striker we can go and get, then I am quite sure the board would help me get that.’
