Rotherham United striker, Alex Revell thinks that it’s not impossible for the Millers to get automatic promotion still.

At the start of the season, with the Millers in top spot after the first month, I think most of us were getting carried away and seeing ‘top of the league’ status for the Millers at the end of the season. But, we had, what is known in football terms as a ‘blip’ and we are now languishing just above mid-table but just four points of a play-off spot.

The twenty-eight year old joined the Millers on the last day of the summer transfer window, scoring two goals on his debut against this weekends opponents, Swindon Town and said, ‘With those games when we didn’t win, no matter what team you’re in, it would have tested the group of players, because no matter what you do, you doubt yourself a little bit but the manager believes in what we have got here and we have come out of it with positives.
‘We need to carry on believing that we are the best side in the league and if we can do that then I believe not just the play-offs, but automatic promotion can be our aim.’

Speaking about himself, the former Leyton Orient striker said, ‘I am happy with what I am doing for the team but I would like to score more goals and, hopefully, they will come more freely.’
