Rotherham v Bury Suspended

|

Rotherham United’s League One game against Bury on Tuesday, 20th August has been suspended.

This is just the latest fixture that Bury haven’t been able to complete due to the Shakers not being able to provide evidence of plans to pay their creditors. The EFL have given Bury a final deadline of Friday, 23rd August to sort themselves out – if they fail then they could be expelled from the league.

As well as this game the Millers second round Carabao Cup is still up in the air after they drew either Bury or Sheffield Wednesday, after the first round tie between the pair couldn’t take place. Should things with Bury get sorted they will then have the first round to play against the Owls which could be when the second round should have been played so then the winners of that and the Millers will have to arrange a date for the second round tie before the third round takes place – keeping up with this??

Rotherham have already been ‘messed about’ this season and are without a game on the 24th August with their away fixture at Portsmouth first having a time change and then being postponed.

You know, football is such a simple game but is certainly being made more difficult as time goes on.
