Rotherham United Nostalgia Society welcome former utility player Stephen Brogan as their guest speaker this week.

Rotherham born and bred Stephen came through the Youth ranks with the Millers breaking into the first team towards the end of the 2006/7 season.

Looking like he was going to be the Player of the season the following year and with it being reported that clubs from higher leagues, including the Premier League, were interested, the then twenty-year old suffered a terrible accident on the pitch at MK Dons which ended in him having a double fracture of the leg. It would be fifteen months before he played again coming off the subs bench in the final game of the 2008/9 season.

2011 saw the Millers release Stephen and he joined Alfterton Town before going on to play for Stalybridge Celtic, where he had previously been on loan. Stephen has also played for Guisley, Forest Green, Southport and Gainsborough Trinity as well as having two games for England C.

The meeting is on Thursday, 12th May and takes place at The Reach Club on Kimberworth Road where it is 8pm for an 8.30pm start.

All Welcome!
