Rotherham United Nostalgia Society (RUNS) began life in November 1999 as Rotherham United Collectors Club and was the brainchild of Chas Robinson and Graham Barnes. The club was formed to bring together any Millers fans who were interested in the history of the club, its memorabilia and also to have guest speakers at each meeting who were connected to the club.

The first ever meeting was held on 11th November 1999 at the Millmoor Hotel with the first guest speakers being Ronnie Moore and John Breckin.

On 10th May 2001 the name changed to, what it is now known as, the Rotherham United Nostalgia Society.

Since the start of the club it has had three homes – the Millmoor Hotel, Prince of Wales (both within spitting distance of Millmoor) and the Green Dragon at Kimberworth, which is its present home.

The club has had around one hundred and fifty guest speakers in its time boasting such people as Jack Shaw (Rotherham United`s Record Goalscorer), Dave Watson (arguably the Millers greatest player?), Paul Hurst (holds the record for most appearances for Rotherham United), Lewis Pursehouse (previous Chairman), Tony Stewart (present Chairman) and Howard Webb (World Cup Referee and a big Millers fan).

Anyone is welcome to the meetings which are held every second Thursday of the month and include a guest speaker followed by a quiz. The meetings start at 8.30pm at the Green Dragon, Kimberworth.

For anyone who enjoys all things Rotherham United then you would surely enjoy these ‘get togethers`.

Go along you will always be welcome.
