Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has spoken to Radio Sheffield this evening after his team were relegated to League Two.

He was asked about the ten points deduction at the start of the season and said, ‘we had to deal with it and we overcame it. Then the results started to go awry and left us in a terrible position.’

He was asked about losing Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson and said that the losing started before they left.

He spoke about what has happened since he had taken over as manager, ‘I have had a great response from the players since taking over and it was always going to be a tall order. But it’s not about me it’s about the club. The lads have been great and played well.

‘There is a big re-building job to be done for next season. I need players with passion and desire who want to play for this club and we need to be able to entice players to come and play for us. Plans are in place and I hope to be able to keep the players I want. I have to sit and talk to the players over the next few weeks.’
