Rotherham United’s Scottish defender, Gregor Robertson has had to sit out most of the second half of the season through injury.

Today, he told MillersWorld of his frustration, ‘My ankle ligaments have caused the problem,’ he said, ‘ I tried to make a come back a few times but had to pull out. I have had injections and an operation but still have the problem. The surgeon has trimmed down some inflammed tissue and I have been told to rest until next season.

‘It’s been a very up and down season for me but I thought I was just starting to play well and had established myself in the first team – then I got the injury.

‘The team started the season well and we played some good stuff, and having watched from the sidelines, I have been surprised how we have fallen away. Though, it didn’t help losing our top scorer.

‘I think the manager will be looking to re-build for next season and hopefully we will be able to bounce right back again.’
