Rotherham United welcome MK Dons to the New York Stadium on Saturday when Leigh Doughty from Lancashire will be the man in the middle.

After beginning refereeing in 2007 this is Leigh’s first season as an EFL Referee after being promoted to the National List of Referees after just one campaign in the National League. A PE Teacher by profession Leigh is also the Chairman of the Blackpool Referees Association

This will be Leigh’s second time in charge of the Millers, the first time being in January when Bristol Rovers were the visitors and three second half goals from Kyle Vassell, Michael Smith and Chieo Ogbene, scoring his first in a Millers shirt, gave the hosts all three points. Matt Crooks saw yellow for the hosts with Luke Leahy and Alex Rodman getting booked for the Pirates.

In the twenty-five games Leigh has been in the middle for this season he has shown seventy-six yellow cards and two red cards.

Running the line on Saturday we have Declan Ford and Alan Clayton and the Fourth Official will be Richard Wigglesworth.
