After having bids turned down Rotherham United have finally got their man fetching in midfielder Oliver Rathbone from Rochdale, for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

The Blackburn born twenty-four year old came through the Youth ranks with Manchester United and in February 2015 scored a cracking goal for their U18 side against Derby County. But the following year he was let go and moved to the Crown Oil Arena in the summer of 2016.

After his first season with Rochdale his contract was extended and he has made one hundred and eighty-three appearances in all competitions, forty-six of those last season, while scoring fifteen goals in his career with Dale. Oliver has played against the Millers three times in the League and started the pre-season friendly in July.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Oliver to the New York Stadium.
