Rate The Millers Players v Hull

Rotherham United were beaten by Hull City this evening at the New York Stadium but that doesn’t mean to say there wasn’t a Millers Man of the Match.

This evenings sponsors gave the accolade to Home débutante Ryan Manning and I have to say I thought he was certainly one of our better players this evening. His corners were very good and he took the ball off the opposition a couple of times in the game.

You can’t not mention skipper Richard Wood whose header initially put Rotherham in front – another good header from Woody, it’s a pity he couldn’t take the second chance he got in the second half.

Jamie Proctor came off the bench and again showed what class he has, scoring a goal which gave the Millers fans some hope.

And what about Michael Smith. All night he was being pulled and pushed and not once did the referee (the least said about him the better – Mr Simpson you had a poor, poor game tonight – give Smith the benefit of the doubt. I tell a lie, the only time Smith managed to get away from his marker, after having his shirt pulled, the ref stopped the game and gave a free-kick. (Yes, I am shaking my head).

How will you be marking the players after tonight?
