Rotherham United welcome Cambridge United to the New York Stadium on Saturday which will be the Millers first game since the FA Cup win over Bromley.

The Millers, in third place in League One, will be hoping to keep up their unbeaten record which stands at thirteen in all competition while Cambridge, sitting in twelfth place, come into this on the back of an FA Cup win over Northampton, their last away game being a four-one loss against MK Dons.

Rotherham start the game in good stead with the only injury being to Angus MacDonald who is probably looking to be included in the new year, although they are without the suspended EFL Player of the Month Michael Smith.

‘The next three games, as always, is crucial but we want to win every game,’ Millers Boss Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield, ‘and the way we are playing at the moment is really pleasing but we can’t take our foot off the accelerator. Mark Bonner is a young manager who got Cambridge promoted. They are a team who are used to winning and they are confident. They have a real identity that I’m really impressed with.’

Cambridge have doubts over Lloyd Jones, with a groin strain, and Shilow Tracey who has a hip problem.

‘Rotherham are in great form,’ U’s Manager Mark Bonner told CambridgeshireLive, ‘and we know it will be a tough task. But we will tackle this with our usual optimism and energy and I believe in us going there and delivering a strong performance.’

The referee for this fixture is Andy Davies from Hampshire.
