Rotherham United travel to seventh placed Oxford on Saturday hoping to keep their unbeaten run intact.

Top of the league Rotherham haven’t lost since mid-September and went top after a two-nil away win at Ipswich in mid-week.

After Covid put an end to their game last weekend at Wigan the U’s had a three-one win at home to Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night.

Speaking to the Official Site Millers Manager Paul Warne said that he was expecting Oxford to ask defensive questions on Saturday saying, ‘they are doing really well and we know how good they are especially at home. It is going to take another big team effort to perform at Oxford.’

The Millers could start with Viktor Johansson in goal after he came in at the last minute on Tuesday night for Josh Vickers who was ‘feeling his hamstring’. And although Ollie Rathbone wasn’t risked on Tuesday night he has been training and will probably travel. There is another player who is suffering an injury but ‘mum is the word’ at the club on who it is.

Oxford Manager Karl Robinson is hoping to replicate their Tuesday night performance telling their Official Site, ‘They gave me everything on Tuesday and we have to do the same on Saturday. We thought it was tough on Tuesday but now we are playing against the team who are top of the league but we are playing without any pressure and I feel relaxed going into this game.’

After picking up a thigh injury former Miller Ryan Williams is a major doubt ahead of this game. Oxford also have players, and staff, isolating due to covid one of those being another former Miller Anthony Forde.

Sam Purkiss from London is in charge of this game.
