Rotherham United make the trek to West Sussex to take on Crawley Town on Saturday which is seventeenth taking on twenty-first in the table.

The Red Devils come into this game on the back of a goalless draw away at Bristol City last weekend in the league while the Millers had a one-nil away win at Bradford City in the, now named, Vertu Trophy. Rotherham’s last away league game was earlier in the month at Barnsley where they lost two-nil while Crawley were last at home that same weekend when Huddersfield Town were the visitors the game ending two-all.

Crawley Manager Rob Elliot says that Saturday’s game will be ‘another good challenge’ for his side telling their Official Site, ‘Rotherham are a very good team. They are very direct, very good in terms of balls in the box and their league position probably doesn’t show how well they’ve played this year. It’s going to be a very tough game but one we are looking forward too.’

Town are down to the ‘bare bones’ with defenders Josh Flint and Dion Conroy plus ‘keepers Eddie Beach and Ryan Sanford all out with long term injuries while Jay Williams and Harry Firster are also missing through injury. Bradley Ibrahim will also be missing through suspension. Some good news for Crawley is that goalie Jojo Wollacott will be back after recovering from a head injury.

During the break Millers Manager Steve Evans said they have taken the time out to work on things on the training ground telling Radio Sheffield, ‘we’ve implemented some things and been through videos with the players telling them we want them to be braver on the ball.’

Returning to his former team, the Millers Boss said, ‘I’ll always have fond memories of my time there, we all watched the job they did to get promoted but, of course, I want come back with three points. They are a real threat and I don’t go there under any illusions. We’ll have to play at our best to get three points.’

Although there are hopes that Esapa Osong comes back from his parent club, Nottingham Forest, today it’s not known if he will be fit to travel. Jonson Clarke-Harris and Mallik Wilks have been back in training as well as Sean Raggett who has had a knock. Whether any or all of them travel remains to be seen.

The referee for this game is Matt Corlett.
