Rotherham United welcome Cardiff City to the New York Stadium for the last game before the International break.

Both sides are in the bottom five of the Championship with one point between them the Millers a place higher than City.

Coming into this game on the back of a two-one loss at home to Preston on Tuesday night Rotherham’s last home win was at the beginning of the month against Queens Park Rangers. Meanwhile Cardiff got a point in mid-week from a one-all home draw with West Bromwich Albion with their last away win being on Valentines day against Birmingham City.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Millers Boss Matt Taylor said this game is the most important of the season so far saying, ‘Regardless of who the opposition is we have to approach it in the right manner and we have to take the opposition out of the equation and make sure we concentrate on ourselves. But we have to make sure that Saturday is another difficult day for Cardiff.’ He also spoke to the Official Site about the fans saying, ‘We will need our fans to come with energy that we need to match that on the pitch and make it an atmosphere which makes it uncomfortable for the opposition.’

The Millers will be without Ollie Rathbone who is suffering from a thigh injury while both Bailey Wright and Georgie Kelly will be given late fitness tests.

City Manager Sabri Lamouchi told their Official Site that he was ‘really happy’ with the draw against West Brom but knows that the New York Stadium isn’t an easy place to get points saying, ‘We know what sort of game we face but the players know what they have to do. Although the attitude and performance on the pitch are important, in our situation, the results are the most crucial thing. For us we have just one target and that’s to play Championship football next season.’

Conor Wickham is rated as fifty/fifty for Cardiff while Callum Robinson won’t be in the squad but after coming off the bench on Tuesday night it’s probably that Sory Kaba will start.

The referee for this game is Ollie Langford from the West Midlands.
