It’s the battle at the top this evening when Rotherham United travel to take on Coventry City at their temporary home of St Andrew’s at Birmingham.

Both sides have sixty points with Rotherham on top thanks to goal difference. Both sides ended on the right side of two-one wins on Saturday – Coventry away at Rochdale and the Millers away at Accrington.

The Sky Blues last lost at St Andrew’s in mid-October when Tranmere Rovers beat them one-nil having won their last ‘home’ game one-nil against Portsmouth.

The Millers last away defeat was last month when they lost two-one at Peterborough.

Former Miller Mark Robins is City’s Manager and he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire that there is a ‘feeling of excitement’ around the place. ‘We’ve won five on the bounce for the first time in a long time. But we’ve got to keep going and doing the right things then the other teams will feel the pressure.’

Coventry will be without Dan Bartlett, Reise Allassani and Wesley Jobello but with trio Jordan Shipley, Zain Westbrooke and Amadou Bakayoko, Mark Robins could make a change or two from the eleven who beat Rochdale on Saturday.

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne is expecting a good game this evening telling iFOLLOW that the Millers are going to have to be at ‘their best’ to be competitive against a very good Coventry City side. ‘It should be two good teams with both trying to win a football match,’ the Millers Boss said. ‘ Going on to say he played with City Manager Mark Robins for years at Rotherham, Warney carried on, ‘I’ve always got on brilliantly with Robbo and I kindly thank him for bringing me back to this club. I look forward to being in the dugouts with him, though it will be weird because there are no fans at that side.’

The Millers have no new injury problems. Long term injured Billy Jones needs games so I wouldn’t think would be in the travelling squad and Clark Robertson is definitely out, probably for the rest of the season. After coming off the bench and scoring again on Saturday fans are asking for Freddie Ladapo to start, which I can understand, but isn’t it good to have someone of his scoring calibre to be able to bring on?

The referee for this evenings clash is Christopher Pollard from Suffolk.

Pay On The Day –  Tickets are on sale at the New York Stadium until mid-day today – Millers fans who haven’t got tickets yet can get tickets this evening at the Away Turnstiles.
