Quick Preview – Millers Away At West Brom

|

Rotherham United go to The Hawthorns on Saturday knowing that they really need to get something from the game against West Bromwich Albion if they have any hope of avoiding starting next season in League One.

Despite taking a ten minute lead in their last away game at Swansea they ended up on the wrong end of a four-two defeat followed by a home defeat to Birmingham three days later.

The Baggies have already secured a play-off spot after a goalless draw at Reading on Easter Monday with their last home game seeing them come from two-one down to beat Hull City three-two.

Jimmy Shan, West Brom’s caretaker Manager told their Official Site that they need three points from tomorrow’s game but is also expecting a competitive game saying, ‘Rotherham are a strong outfit and they might be at the wrong end of the table but, apart from one or two occasions, they have been involved in close games and only losing by the odd goal.’ (Ed Note -Obviously didn’t see the game at Derby!)

Ahmed Hegazi could be in the squad despite coming off before the twenty minute mark on Monday with an ankle problem and Jake Livermore could play too. Dwight Gayle might get a start pushing Hal Robson-Kanu onto the bench.

Millers Manager Paul Warne told the Official Site that the last game was a ‘must win, so this one must be’. Carrying on he said, ‘No team likes playing against us because they know we will give our all and we will go out to try and win.’

The only worry for Paul Warne is Zak Vyner who missed out on Monday and is a doubt for tomorrow too.

Robert Jones from Merseyside has the whistle for this game.

Tickets will be available to buy on the day for Millers fans at The Hawthorns and can be bought from the Ticket Office next to the away turnstiles. There will be no increase in price.
