Quick Preview – Millers Away At Lincoln

|

Rotherham United will be hoping to put Saturday’s home defeat behind them when they travel to the LNER Stadium for Tuesday nights re-arranged game with Lincoln City.

Winning their last two away games, one being in the Trophy, the Millers will be hoping to make it three in a row while Lincoln come into this game on the back of an emphatic five-one victory away at Cambridge United although their last home league game was a one-nil loss to Bolton Wanderers.

The Imps are sixteenth in the table, Rotherham two points better off in thirteenth.

Imps Manager Michael Appleton told their Official Site that he expects Rotherham to react to the defeat at the weekend saying, ‘We will have to be at our best and look to start as well as we did on Saturday.’

After coming off the bench on Saturday for the last fifteen minutes Chris Maguire, who suffered a pre-season injury, looks to be included in the squad against his former team. Also looking to return after injury is forward  Daniel Nlundulu and midfielder Max Sanders. But probably missing out will be midfielder Teddy Bishop who limped off at the weekend.

Speaking to IFollow ahead of the clash Rotherham’s First Team Coach Matt Hamshaw said, ‘They (Lincoln) will want to get the ball down and play but it’s important that we take our game to them. Night games are excellent and I’m sure we will take plenty of fans who we need to get behind us.’

Paul Warne has doubts over Shane Ferguson, Joe Mattock and Richard Wood who is suffering with a calf injury.

Merseyside’s Peter Wright is in the middle for this game.
