Rotherham United make the trip over the border into Lancashire on Saturday when they take on Accrington Stanley.

Stanley go into this game around the mid-table mark and having been on the better end of a seven goal thriller the Wham Stadium last Saturday beating Lincoln City in time added on at the end of the game. Their last home loss was at the end of January to Peterborough. After a two-all home draw with Wimbledon last weekend the Millers are still in top spot, thanks to goal difference. Their last away game at Lincoln was a win with their last loss away from home being in January at Peterborough.

Accrington Manager John Coleman felt his side should have got something out of the game at the New York Stadium and will be going all out to get the win on Saturday. Speaking to their Official Site he said, ‘In this league, there are no stand-out great teams and there are no poor teams and I think the last team who came here who were top of the league were Ipswich and we won that game.’

Stanley will be monitoring Sadou Diallo after he came off on the hour mark in the win over Lincoln while Jerome Opoku is back in training after missing last weekend.

Millers Manager Paul Warne told iFOLLOW that the game earlier in the season at the New York Stadium was tough and thinks his Rotherham side will have to be at their best to compete on Saturday. ‘They’ve got good coaches and are a really good footballing side who play with confidence,’ Warney said, ‘but hopefully we can come away with something.’

Joe Mattock could be back after being on the bench last weekend and Matt Olosunde is fit again while Curtis Tilt is more or less up to the fitness level the management team want but with the defence doing well at the moment he will have to fight for his place. Unless there are any late injuries I’d be surprised if there are any changes from last weekend.

Sebastian Stockbridge from Tyne and Wear has the whistle for this game.
