After two away games in a week Rotherham United are back home this weekend when they welcome MK Dons to the New York Stadium.

The Millers come into this game on the back of a draw away against Coventry and a late win away at Accrington Stanley with their last home game being a two-all draw against AFC Wimbledon. Rotherham’s last home loss came in December when Rochdale got the only goal of the game.

MK Dons are seventeen places below the first placed Millers and lost on their travels in midweek when they travelled to Fratton Park and lost three-one to Portsmouth. Before that the last two Dons’ away games against Lincoln City and Shrewsbury Town have ended in one-one draws.

Speaking to iFOLLOW Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne said he thinks it is going to be a ‘really tough game’ going on to say they would approach this game like every other and that is going for a win. ‘We’ve got to try and win our home game,’ the Gaffer said, ‘but we are well aware of how difficult that is. MK Dons won’t come here to sit behind the ball and we will have to try hard to get the ball off them because they are a possession based team. I’m well aware that it’s going to be a really tough game.’

The Millers will be without set-piece ‘specialist’ Dan Barlaser who took a knock to his foot and was stretchered off on Tuesday night. Long term injured Clark Robertson is also out and while Billy Jones is back training this game will probably come too soon for him. The only change will probably be who comes in for Barlaser and it could mean that Adam Thompson is recalled to the starting eleven or that Shaun MacDonald gets a rare start.

Don’s Manager Russell Martin told You Tube that the mood in the camp is good though there is disappointment at not winning their mid-week game. ‘It’s been about recovering as well as possible and preparing for this next game,’ Martin said, ‘but we are all looking forward to it although it will be a difficult game. We are still a work in progress but we will go there and try to compete and impose our own game. Most people won’t be expecting us to go there and get anything but I think that puts the pressure on them a bit especially as they are top of the league and are the hunted which is difficult.’

Former Rotherham loanee Carlton Morris will be missing for the visitors as he’s suspended with Ben Gladwin looking for a start after coming off the bench in mid-week and helping run the game.

Leigh Doughty from Lancashire has the whistle for this game.
