Former Rotherham United striker Jamie Proctor has joined Port Vale on an initial one year deal after the Millers released the twenty-nine year old at the end of last season.

Jamie came to the New York Stadium in 2017 on a two year deal from Bolton Wanderers but injuries saw him play just six games that first season scoring once which was in the EFL Cup at home against Lincoln City. The following season he scored two in the same competition again at home this time against Wigan Athletic and went on to make eighteen appearances that season scoring twice more. August 2019 saw him start a series of loan spells firstly with Scunthorpe United then AFC Fylde before October 2020 saw him move onto Newport County and he finished last season back at the DW Stadium. His last game in a Millers shirt was in the Carabao Cup I August 2019 when Sheffield Wednesday were the visitors to the New York Stadium with Jamie coming off the bench on the hour mark.

Speaking to Vale’s Official Site their Manager  Darrell Clarke said that Jamie is the type of player he wants at the club and has valuable experience.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Procts all the best for his future.
