Preview – Millers Away At Reading

|

Rotherham United travel to the Madejski Stadium for their next Championship game where they will take on top place Reading.

Reading come into this game on the back of a one-nil home win over Wycombe Wanderers in mid-week which was their third home league victory of the season and have kept five clean sheets in their last six games. The Millers earned a point on Tuesday night with a one-all draw away against Nottingham Forest and come into this one ten points behind their opponents in seventeenth place.

Reading Manager Veljko Paunovic told their Official Site that he is expecting ‘a tough challenge’ this weekend saying, ‘We know it will be hard going forward but we will be ready for them.’

The Royals have a number of walking wounded including Sam Baldock, Felipe Araruna, Andy Yiadom and former Miller Jon Swift who are all expected to be out for some weeks – or longer – with various injuries.

Millers Manager Paul Warne is back for this game after self-isolating for the last two games and told the Official Site that his team will be playing against the in-form team this weekend saying, ‘They are in good form and full of confidence and they ask a lot of questions of you. But our lads are confident and we’ll go into the game with belief.’

Rotherham will be without long term injured Chieo Ogbene and Clark Robertson and also have a slight doubt over goalkeeper Jamal Blackman. Missing is Angus MacDonald serving a second suspension of three. After coming off the subs bench on Tuesday night Matt Olosunde will be fighting for a start.

Matthew Donohue is the referee for this game.
