Preview – Millers Away At Blackburn

|

Rotherham United travel to Blackburn Rovers this evening which sees twelfth in the table take on twentieth.

Rovers lost their last game at Ewood Park, at the weekend, against Norwich City with their last home win being at the start of the month when Millwall were the visitors while Adam Armstrong is second in the Championship scoring table.

Rotherham come into this on the back of a home win and a clean sheet but haven’t picked up anything away from home since mid-October when they held Nottingham Forest to a one-all draw.

Like the Millers Blackburn are missing a number of players with long term injuries and will be without loanee Tom Trybull tonight through illness.

Head Coach of Blackburn Tony Mowbray isn’t expecting an ‘easy ride’ against the Millers this evening telling the Lancashire Telegraph that the Millers are ‘a dangerous team’ warning that it would be a ‘big challenge’. He went on to say, ‘They (Rotherham) have a lot of strength, physicality, desire and an urgency about the way they play.’

As well as the five long term injured Rotherham United are doubtful over Trevor Clarke who got a back injury during training but Mickel Miller is back in contention.

Millers Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield that he believes Blackburn are a dangerous side saying, ‘They create a lot of chances and possibly have the best front three in this league and a good midfield while their back four aren’t bad either. I think they will finish in the top ten.’

Jarred Gillett from Australia has the whistle at Ewood Park.
