Rotherham United and midfielder Matty Palmer have parted company by mutual consent.

The now twenty-four year old joined the Millers from Saturday’s opponents Burton Albion in January 2018 signing a two-and-a-half year deal. After he joined he was involved in sixteen games, his debut being in our home win over AFC Wimbledon,  making just thirteen appearances the following season, his last game being in our FA Cup game at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City when he came off the bench for the last few minutes.

The beginning of this season saw him join League Two side Bradford City on loan making eighteen appearances, his last game coming this month in their two-all home draw with Scunthorpe United.

Never sure if this young man got as many games as perhaps he should?  But, of course, we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes do we?

He was recalled from the Northern Commercials Stadium where his contract was mutually terminated.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Matty ‘all the best’ in his future.
