Rotherham United have brought in wing-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.

‘I’m buzzing to be here,’ the eighteen year old told iFollow. ‘When I came here with Lincoln last season the Rotherham fans were brilliant and I’ve played here a few times and love the stadium.’

Asked what Millers Manager Paul Warne had spoken to him about before he came, Brooke said, ‘he spoke about how he wants to win and this Rotherham team are known for their grit and determination and hard work. I’m a hard worker myself so once I heard that I was sold.’

Saying this is the next step up for him Brooke said, ‘I was in League One last season (with Lincoln) which was a good experience but coming to play in the Championship is the step up I wanted. I want to play as many games as I can, start as many as I can and help the team win. This club has done well since the promotion and it’s a joy to be here. Hopefully I can get some minutes tomorrow (in the Carabao Cup game against Morecambe) and show what I can do.’

Brooke said he’d spoke to Cohen Bramall who was at Arsenal a couple of years ago who told him, ‘If you come here you will have to work hard and if you do that then you will do very well.

‘I’ve been working hard at Arsenal day in, day out working on areas I felt I needed to improve on.’

The young man was asked to describe himself and he said, ‘I’m an attacking full-back who doesn’t shy away from my defensive duties, I work hard and like to create things in the game. The way this team plays means you have a lot of space to try and beat your man and create opportunities for yourself especially in the wing-back areas. I train hard, play hard, am polite and I’m nice to people.’
